About One Payment

As mentioned in the introduction, One Payment is a reseller of First Data’s credit card processing services. One Payment offers this video introduction:

Services

One Payment offers all the basics you’d expect from a modern payment processing company. You’ll be able to accept major credit and debit cards – Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover – whether they’re traditional magnetic stripe cards or newer EMV chip cards. You can get set up to take payments in person, online, or over the phone.

One Payment integrates with QuickBooks so you can streamline accounting.

In Person Payments

For accepting credit and debit cards in a traditional in-person setting, like a restaurant or retail store, you can choose from One Payment’s line of processing equipment to allow fast and easy transactions. Additionally, NFC compatible equipment will enable you to accept contactless payment technologies, like Apple Pay.

Online Payments

“Online payments” can refer to any type of payment that goes through the internet, including ecommerce website payments through a shopping cart and payment page or an invoice paid online. One Payment offers both methods. A hosted payment page allows you to securely accept payments with little or no coding knowledge required.

Additionally, if you need to accept payments on a recurring basis, you can set that up with One Payment.

Phone Payments

If you accept phone payments, you’ll need a virtual terminal for staff to enter card details. One Payment can set you up with a secure online payment portal that can be used on any computer with an internet connection.

Funding

For businesses that need access to working capital in order to purchase inventory, expand operations, run marketing campaigns, or pay for other business expenses, One Payment offers merchant funding programs, including both loans and merchant cash advances. Loans typically have more stringent eligibility requirements, while merchant cash advances are more lenient. However, merchant cash advances may also be costlier, so it’s important to understand the terms of each option.

Equipment Options

One Payment has an equipment shop that lists compatible machines and pricing. As a First Data reseller, the company offers a range of First Data equipment, including the Clover Station, Clover Mobile, Clover Mini, and Clover Go. The company also offers FD-series PIN pads and countertop terminals. One Payment does not list options for universal terminals.

Prices for machines are disclosed on the website and start at $65.00 for a smartphone card reader and goes up to $1,595 for a Clover Station if not on sale.

One Payment Rates and Fees

Like many processing companies, One Payment doesn’t list rates or fees on its website. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t quickly and easily get pricing without sales calls. Simply request a quote from One Payment here at CardFellow. It’s free and fast. Try it for yourself.

One Payment Reviews

While One Payment doesn’t provide customer testimonials on its website or any reviews on its official Facebook page, a limited number of reviews are available elsewhere online. The company has a profile with the Better Business Bureau, although it is not accredited with the BBB.

One Payment has a D - rating with the BBB and 4 customer complaints. Details are only available for one of the complaints, and allege that One Payment delayed cancelling the customer’s account, charged extra fees, and were not given a promised refund. One Payment did not provide a public reply to the complaint. In the other three situations, One Payment responded. In one instance, the BBB determined that One Payment did not make a good faith effort to resolve the issue. In the other two cases, the original complainant didn’t respond to the BBB’s request about One Payment’s reply or the complainant was not satisfied.
