FD100Ti Review

Credit Card Machines

The FD100Ti is a proprietary combination terminal and thermal printer for convenient transaction processing. It boasts an attractive modern, sleek titanium look and sets up in minutes.

The terminal uses a secure high-speed connection and offers dialup backup with a traditional phone line in case of problems with the main connection. The FD100Ti works with First Data processors.

The FD100Ti can accept virtually any payment types, including credit cards, PIN-based and signature-based debit cards, contactless payments, gift cards, EBT, and even checks by utilizing TeleCheck services. Gift cards can be activated, redeemed, and reloaded directly from the terminal. It can also transfer balances and view current balance of an existing gift card.

The FD100Ti works on a Windows operating system, offering intuitive interfaces for users familiar with the popular OS. In addition to accepting payments, merchants can process voids, returns, and refunds, add an option for customers to tip, and split payments between multiple cards.

Additionally, the FD100Ti offers a range of reporting options, including viewing and printing batch totals, batch histories, transactions by card type, transactions by clerk, gift card transaction details, and more.

Security

The FD100Ti is PCI compliant, utilizes industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, and offers Address Verification Services for extra security. The Address Verification Service compares the customer’s address on file with the credit card company to the address given at the time of sale to ensure a match.

Additionally, the built-in receipt printer only prints the last 4 digits of a customer’s card for added security.

Features

The FD100Ti terminal offers a range of features, including a touchscreen, high-speed connection options, a built-in printer, and compatibility for peripherals.

Size

The lightweight, compact FD100Ti is 11.2" x 10.1" x 4.4" and weighs 2.7lbs, allowing it to fit easily in any business environment.

Memory

The FD100Ti comes with 64MB RAM memory for storing reporting and transaction information.

Printer

A 2.25" wide thermal roll printer makes receipt printing fast and easy. The printer is capable of speeds up to 15 lines per second, and can print duplicate receipts for any transaction in a current batch before settlement.

The FD100Ti doesn't support chip cards, so it's not an ideal choice if you're looking to buy a new machine for the first time.
