About Flint

Flint mobile is a card processing solution available for both Apple and Android devices that allows businesses to accept major credit cards (including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express) without needing a separate card reader. Cards can be scanned or keyed directly into your smartphone or tablet. Additionally, businesses can create invoices that customers can pay online. Payments are usually deposited in 1-2 business days.

Security

For cardholder security and to protect businesses from card information theft, transactions are encrypted at the time of sale. Payments are processed in accordance with PCI standards and card data is never stored on the mobile device used to process the payment.

Reporting

For easy business management, Flint allows you to view transaction history, sales, invoices, and customer data directly from your smartphone. With Flint, you can search transactions by sale, tax, coupons used, and more.

Rates

Flint publishes the following transaction rates for mobile processing through keying or scanning with your smartphone:

Debit cards: 1.95%
Credit cards: 2.95%

Features

Flint’s mobile solutions offer a range of features for convenience, including the ability to offer coupons, scan cards, integrate with QuickBooks, and customize receipts and invoices.

Coupons
Flint’s mobile solution allows you to create and offer coupons that integrate with Apple’s Passbook. Customers can redeem coupons by scanning them on their phone with the Flint app. Coupons are currently only available for Apple systems and are not compatible with Android devices.

QuickBooks integration
Easily manage accounting functions by eliminating manual data entry. Flint accounts can be linked to QuickBooks online to automatically sync transaction and sales details as well as customer information. Flint allows you to sort transactions by item, date, and more, and includes information on sale amount, taxes, tips, and discounts.

Scanning

For businesses who want a faster option than keying in card information, Flint mobile allows easy scanning of cards. Simply position the card in the scanning area and enter card verification information to scan the card and encrypt it automatically.
