I cancelled my account in April last year and they are still charging me for my equipment 10 months later

I am not pleased with the excessive fees, the increase in fees by 20% in one year, and the cancellation fee of $395 once that rate increase was not acceptable to me. I do not recommend this service provider.

I've had with Clearent for 3.5 years. I've had no issues. I see a lot of reviews here complaining about paying an early termination fee. Read your contract. That's no different than any other company

They never answer phone calls and you can't deal with person to person.

Horrible and dishonest company, keeps charging after cancellation and charges a hidden $400 "early cancellation fee."

Clearent is a great company, it has some poor reviews because they allow outside reps to partner with them. They don't control the pricing you receive from the salesman. They do a solid job of responding and getting your money quickly.

Clearent took over PAI so my account transferred. They quickly increased my monthly costs by almost double. Then they doubled them again. I called them. I asked how to cancel the account They said email the cancelation form to accountservices@clearent.com. I did that in June. I never received a response. I sent 4 follow-up emails and still no response. They have since charged me more monthly fees and another expensive annual fee. They will not respond! Rip Off

Please take note the early termination fee never goes away. We were a customer for 5 years and when we closed the business the Clearent representative said we would not be charged the fee since it was past the 3 years. Clearent took out of our account an early termination fee. When questioned, Clearent said the representative lied.

Horrible company. I signed up with a different processor but somehow Clearent ended up with my merchant account through an acquisition. My fee started increasing very quickly. Now they have more than tripled. They make it very difficult to close the account and the customer service reps are extremely unpleasant. Absolutely unacceptable!!!

Our hotel was forced to shut down due to COVID. We had been a Clearent customer for 5 years well beyond the 3 year initial contract period. Clearent charged an early termination fee and continues to charge monthly fees weeks after stealing the early termination fee. They continue to take money out of our checking account even after we've told them not to take any more money.
