Worst in my fifteen years. Elavon stole 3 thousand dollars out of my account and charged double what they said.

The worst card processing company in the business. I am surprised Costco has not dropped them. Try Wells Fargo or anyone else. This company is the worst of the worst. I cancelled months ago and am still getting charged the monthly service fee. Next call will be to Costco and my bank to dispute their charges.

Do NOT use Elavon they can block your account with no notice. They will hold ALL of your funds and not tell you they are doing this. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Terrible company! Been trying to change the paperwork to our LLC. We thought Evalon had our LLC as our company name. We have spent hours on hold or waiting for a call back from any representative from this company to address our issue! We really think they are scam artist! They tell us they are not allowed to call back customers! We received notice that our name was changed to DBA But cancelled our service! I have decided to go on a field trip. Do not use this company!

I have nothing good to say about this company. We have been customers since 2006 and we recently discovered that they have been charging us for 3 merchant terminals, when we have only ever had one. This has been going on for 10 years! When we discovered this we asked for the just over $6000 to be refunded and have been given a complete and total run around. Every person we speak to tells us something different and assures us someone else will call us back, but no one ever does. We have also be told "I can tell you right now that we will not be issuing the full amount as a refund." Stay away from Elavon!

The worst merchant company I dealt with. Canadian companies should never use their services. We are a fully licensed company and were using Elavon for more than a year. Everything was ok but after getting IATA, our volume increased and we applied for an increase in monthly volume. They not only held around CAD 175K but tried to steal CAD 75k from our Trust account. I approached my bank and they reversed the transaction. Later they will tell you that they were not aware about trust account guidelines. In more than a year of volume, we only got 4 charge backs and they are holding CAD 120K. We are so frustrated by their logic of holding more than $100,000 dollars based on less than $4,000 chargebacks in more than a year of transactions. I recommend all to stay away from them as they will take money from your account and will later apologize that they did not know about Trust A/c guidelines.

We'd been with Elavon's Internet Secure for 3 years. No issues. They informed us recently that they were retiring the IS service and we had to switch to Converge. Fine. We applied to Converge and were approved. We integrated the new service with our shopping cart and directly with our own products. The Converge back end sucks - their form can be hacked with the developer tools in any modern browser, the back end was unusable, their support and integration docs are over 400 pages. But whatever, we soldiered through. Then, after a non-descript call from a converge rep named Maryanna (I returned her call, but when she didn't get back to me I forgot all about it) credit card processing began failing. After confirming there was no issue with our end, 20 minutes with a Converge rep confirmed our account had been suspended. I was instructed to call MaryAnna. I did. Mary Anna informed me she had performed an audit of my web site and business, and thought it was high risk (it's not on a any list of any high risk business ventures, nor did Internet Secure have any issue with it over the previous 3 years). She told me we weren't processing a lot of card volume. That's true (a lot of clients buy annual subscriptions and we bill them annually), but not a surprise - our 3 year history with Internet Secure - which they'd reviewed - confirmed this. She then told me to take my merchant processing needs elsewhere. No apology for the inconvenience. Nothing. She was unapologetic, harsh, and unfriendly. I was furious and explained that we had been approved for Converge. She explained that these security audits happen afterwards. I asked why on earth an audit that could reverse an approval process would take place afterward a merchant had gone through all the effort of integrating with their service. No apology for that either. Take your business elsewhere. Get lost. That's my story, folks. If you want to be treated like crap by Mary Anna and Converge, then by all means sign up with them. There are all sorts of other companies out there who will value your business and they're not hard to find - I've already found one. I recommend you do the same. Converge sucks, their service sucks, their process sucks, their back end sucks, and they treat their customers like crap. We invested hours integrating with their service only to have the rug pulled out from under us. Go somewhere - anywhere - else.

I would give them a negative star if I could. This has been the biggest headache of our small business, and we are not "new" at the credit card game. Customer service stinks, the "Converge" data application stinks, merchant help when your terminal goes down or you need to fix an incorrect transaction stinks, reps keep changing, we don't even get a statement that is understandable... I absolutely hate everything there is about this company which has changed names now several times just in the 2.5 years we have used them. Merchant help wait times are insane, reps are clueless, and upper management is unhelpful when you actually try to "go to the top" for help or answers. I can't believe my bank recommended this, now we are stuck with them and believe me, it is a freaking nightmare. Now they are going to charge us a monthly "no EMV chip" fee, is that even legal? ust try to get them on the phone for help. Getting away from them as fast as we can.

Top
