Vantiv is a large processor that uses every sales channel possible to sell its services. For this reason, your experience with Vantiv will be based largely on the sales channel you use to acquire services. We have seen a lot of paperwork from Vantiv over the years including statements, applications, and quotes. Some shows competitive pricing and terms, others show just the opposite. We have also seen Vantiv continue opaque pricing tactics pioneered by companies it has acquired. For example, Mercury Payments is well known to us for marking up card brand assessments to pad margins. When Vantiv acquired Mercury it didn't change this tactic. It simply moved the overage on assessments to a new line item on statements.
