Acculynk Review

Gateways

Acculynk claims that it can reduce payment processing costs, accelerate settlements, and increase security. One of the primary ways it can accomplish that is by offering PIN debit ecommerce transactions, an option not commonly found.

However, Acculynk does offer traditional features as well. Are you searching for a new payment gateway? Maybe you’re launching an online store for the first time, and are looking for a payment gateway provider. Find out whether Acculynk is the right gateway solution for you.

What is Acculynk?

Acculynk is a payment gateway provider founded in 2008. Acculynk has gathered buzz because of its PaySecure technology. PaySecure relies upon software, not hardware, to scramble PINs, allowing for PIN debit transactions online in conjunction with debit networks like PULSE. The software is enabled for touchscreens and mimics the customer experience of entering a PIN at a retail store.

The payment gateway offers four solutions – one for enterprise, one for small and mid-sized businesses, one for card issuers and networks, and another for municipalities.

Compatible Processors

Acculynk’s website says that it works with six major payment providers. The site does not specify which payment processors it works with, though it references a certification from First Data.

Acculynk Features

Acculynk ‘s features include the ability to reach Chinese and Indian consumers, fraud reduction measures, a smoother customer experience, multiple forms of payment acceptance, easy setup, faster settlement, and reporting tools for municipalities.

Reach Indian and Chinese Consumers
Have you tapped into the Chinese or Indian markets? With Acculynk’s solution for enterprise merchants, you can. You can accept UnionPay (China’s national bankcard), AliPay (a Chinese third-party online payment platform), and RuPay (an Indian credit card).

Fraud Reduction Measures
Acculynk offers SecurePay technology. SecurePay software scrambles PINs, so you don’t need to invest in hardware to keep your customer’s financial data safe. SecurePay shifts all fraud liability from you to the credit card issuer.

Smooth Customer Experience
When your customers pay, you want the experience to be easy and hassle-free. Acculynk’s SecurePay authentication software is reminiscent of entering a credit or debit card at a retail store, and the customers stay on one site and don’t have to enroll or register. So, they’re more likely to come back to your site.

Multiple Forms of Payment Acceptance
If you’re a small or medium-sized business, you most likely accept more than just online payments. Acculynk gives you the option to accept online, mobile, face-to-face and phone payments.

Easy Setup
In order to start taking payments, all you need is a link to Acculynk’s hosted page. Hosted payment pages allow you to securely accept payment with a simple form hosted by Acculynk. You can use its APIs and SDK to customize the process.

Faster Settlement
Who wants to wait for days to receive payment for a customer order? Not you. Acculynk promises that you’ll be paid in seconds (which is also a bonus for card issuers and networks).

Reporting Tools for Municipalities
Acculynk’s payment gateway solution for municipalities offers reporting tools, so you and your finance department can see whether residents are paying their bills or not.

Security

Acculynk’s main security feature is SecurePay, the PIN-scrambling software. The company claims that this software makes consumers feel safer, and as a result, they’ll do more business with companies that use Acculynk as their payment gateway.

In addition, Acculynk’s small and medium-sized business gateway solution, PayLeap, is PCI compliant, although its website doesn’t specify which level of certification PayLeap has achieved. PayLeap runs the online PayLeap PCI program, which helps its small and medium-sized business clients become PCI compliant. All you need to do is enter some information into a website, and PayLeap will create a to-do list so that you can improve your security and comply with PCI standards.

Acculynk Pricing

The only pricing available on Acculynk’s website is for its PayLeap program for small and medium-sized businesses. It costs $19.99 to use this service. PayLeap offers reduced pricing for businesses that sell at high volumes.

For e-commerce transactions, there is a $0.29 fee. E-commerce PIN debit transactions are 1.89%, e-commerce signature debit transactions are 2.39%, and e-commerce credit transactions are 2.89%.

There are no per-transaction fees for face-to-face transactions. Debit transactions are 1.5%, credit transactions are 2.5%, and card-not-present transactions are 3.5%.

These prices are subject to change, and may not include all rates and fees that apply.
