About the Software

Campground Master software is Windows-based and can be installed on most computers that use Windows 95 or later. Additionally, Campground Master integrates with Hercules for easy online reservations. Note that Hercules has its own separate charges that businesses will need to pay to utilize this option. Campground Master allows reservation and rental businesses to quickly and easily book time for specific properties or equipment. Campground Master supports interactive maps, helping to eliminate double-booking of a particular location.

Campground Master POS and Credit Card Processing

The reservation software also offers an optional a point-of-sale module with barcode support and inventory tracking for easy sales and business management. The software can be combined with credit card processing gateways for a one-stop reservation and payments system. With the POS function, you can use one system for managing reservations, tracking inventory, and accepting payments including credit cards.

Campground Master is not proprietary software that limits businesses to one credit card processor. The company boasts compatibility with X-Charge, MCPS, and Cayan, formerly Merchant Warehouse. Additionally, you may be able to use their current credit card processor through Cayan’s MerchantWare gateway.

Reporting

Campground Master offers a variety of reporting options, including occupancy with arrivals and departures, payments due, inventory reports, vendor purchase order reports, and more. Reports can be exported to QuickBooks Pro for easy reconciliation, and information can be imported from CSV or tab-delimited files.

Equipment

Point-of-sale equipment is available directly from Cottonwood Software, and includes only devices guaranteed to work with Campground Master. Currently available equipment includes barode scanners, receipt printers, cash drawers, pole diplays, and card readers. POS bundles are also available.

Security

Campground Master is installed locally only on the computers that are using it. The company suggests taking precautions if your computer is connected to the internet, such as utilizing firewalls and anti-virus software. Additionally, if you are accepting credit cards, be sure to work with your credit card processor to ensure that you’re complying with any security standards required by the processor or the credit card companies.

Pricing for the Software

Campground Master offers the basic software that includes the reservation software and user manual, with optional add-ons. As of 2016, costs for the software and add-ons are as follows:

For businesses that need access to Campground Master for more than 3 computers, additional computers can be added for $100 each, up to 99 computers.

Additionally, you can choose to purchase an updates plan. Software updates are free for the first year, and then the cost is $100/year if you choose to continue to receive updates. The update package is not required to use Campground Master.

Pricing for Credit Card Processing
