Out of the many systems in the marketplace I've worked with, Microsale is one of the most feature-rich and affordable systems available. The deep feature set and the ability to fully customize so many aspects of the software can make initial setup a little confusing. It is very important to select a competent dealer who knows what they are doing. With a little training and time, anyone can become an expert at using the software. I love the fact that this software does not limit you to a single merchant processing provider. You have the freedom to use any processor and shop for the best rates, unlike many other systems these days.

In order to receive any tech support you need to have a dealer/licensed local tech guy that is the only one that has access to the company for support. Support is East Coast hours only, so even if your dealer is available (if he cannot solve your problem and they are closed.) your in trouble. Not only is their tech support East Coast Time, they are closed on the Weekends (when we really need them. We have had MicroSale for 2 years and the system is buggy, freezing up, limited in adapting to our business, limited with processors that are not MicroSale referred. Limited in functioning for a drive thru/phone order/ here or to go capability on one station. As for the dealers, they get frustrated with the company's support and offer little to no help. I can tell you as soon as I paid them, I have been hung up on twice by 2 different dealers. One dealer even told me that I am upsetting him because it's not his fault the previous dealer didn't do the correct set up for my system. We are a very high volume restaurant/non stop business and have suffered beyond belief with this rookie company. Our mistake and I hope you do not make the same, is to try and save a few thousand dollars. Just spend the extra money, what we got was hardware that isn't even compliant with cash, yes cash. I was sold registers that do not even fit dollar bills. This is a dealer that the company continues to license and support. We have also been charged afterwards from the dealer extra fees for updating our system due to the mistakes or bugs that Microsale was working on fixing. We got billed for this update, then got billed again to take the update off as it was causing the program even more problems. Stay away please, do not spend or buy into the hype, this company is terrible terrible terrible, cannot stress it enough. Thank you, I have much more to say, but I cannot write a book on how bad Microsale has been with us. We will take a major lose and look soon in the future for a more reliable and customer service based company in the future.

MicroSale doesn't lock you in to using one particular processor or one expensive system. You can choose from almost any processor, and pick from many windows-based POS systems to run the software.
