The machine stops working after a few years. then they want you to Pay $600 to replace it even if you lease. Also, Merchant services/ Business Track is the absolute worst. Stay away.

Don't buy it you will regret it big time. I purchased one new and the first unit crashed at 31 days. They sent us a replacement unit that was refurbished and we had nothing but problems with it. They never mentioned any issues with metal cards. You would imagine that they would've warned their customers the first time after noticing a trend with metal cards. Nope. They assured us the replacement unit was revised to address this issue, otherwise, we would have asked for our money back. The second unit crashed but only after normal usage and now they are blaming a metal card again. We have not had any metal card issues since the first replacement, but all of the sudden we do, and guess what, it's out of warranty. Try to open a trouble ticket and they will get back to you in 3-5 business days. Sure, I'll stop taking CC's for the next week. BTW, this is the first day of SIP 3.0 and people can now travel further and do more business with us but bring cash. Time for us to move on. Thanks, Clover, for really supporting small business.

I used the Clover Mini in my small business, and I was impressed with its intuitive keypad controls. My chief disappointment came after I went out of business and hoped to resell the 1-year-old Clover equipment to another business. Turns out, the Clover folks claim the terminals can't be "scrubbed" clean, and that each unit is so customized that there is no market for used equipment. Had I known that, I would have leased the Clover equipment rather than purchasing it.

We had 5 of these machines and as soon as the warranty was up it was not swiping or reading the card. Then a few months later a second machine did the same thing. They said they will replace it for 600 dollars though.

Being in the merchant services business for about 13 years, I have my pick of which terminals to sell. The Clover Mini is by far the most popular terminal I sell. The powerful capabilities in a small footprint, along with the flexibly priced accounts make it in my opinion, the best "terminal/mini-POS" out there. It's not perfect, but its darn close.

We have a Clover Mini. Actually a brand new one, after 1 day on the original, which became useless after a metal card swipe. They sent a new one, but we've been told nothing about when a solution is available for metal cards, including no mention of the newer version in your article reviewing the Mini. We have no idea if the new one issued is of the type which supposedly has no issues, and Clover only tells us "they are working on it." Bad product. Customers backing up because of manual card entries on all the metal cards (WHICH ARE MANY!!!) Stay away from Clover.

We'v been using this terminal for 4 months. Very reliable. Android based. Can install some apps. Has built-in calculator. You can see which cashier made a transaction.
