Microworks POS (powered by PRISM POS) is a point-of-sale solution designed specifically for restaurants, with an emphasis on pizza delivery businesses. Microworks boasts clients that include Domino’s Pizza, Little Caesars, Pizza Hut, and more.

The Microworks PRISM POS system offers a range of features for dine-in, delivery, and online food orders, and can support gift card and loyalty card programs. Running a pizza shop, and curious what Microworks offers? Read on for details.

Microworks POS Features

As a point of sale system specificallly designed for pizza places, Microworks offers features like dine-in, online ordering and takeout, and gift and loyalty card options. You can also choose to take credit and debit cards directly through the system.

Dine-In

Designed for use with Windows, the Microworks POS system offers customized table layouts with table status, tab transfer from bar to table, and more. For customer convenience and increased customer satisfaction, the Microworks system can split checks and features integrated credit card processing capabilities. Note that integrated credit card processing requires additional components, including Verifone’s PCCharge software and a credit card processing account. PCCharge software is supported by many major credit card processors.

Delivery

Microworks’ focus on pizza delivery businesses ensure that the POS system has features designed to make deliveries easy. The POS system includes caller ID, pre-loaded street data with integration to Microsoft MapPoint, and a driver dispatch module to manage drivers, track the status of orders, and provide delivery instructions. The real-time driver dispatch includes functions to list oldest orders first and create efficient multi-order delivery routes, helping to improve speed and efficiency. Additionally, the PRISM POS for delivery displays a list of employees punched in as drivers to allow quick touch-screen order assignment to each driver.

Online Food Orders

If you want to offer customers the option to place orders online instead of by phone or dining in can take advantage of the Microworks PRISM WebOrder v4 solution. The PRISM WebOrder uses the same menu as your in-house menu, eliminating the need to maintain a separate menu. WebOrder lets customers create an order and pre-pay using their internet-connected computer for deliveries or instructs them to bring their card for pickup orders. Alternately, customers can use a WebOrder Mobile app on the Android or Apple smartphone to place orders.

Orders placed online are automatically transferred to your in-house POS system and will go through the same process as orders originating in store, including printing in the kitchen (if applicable).

Gift and Loyalty Cards

Microworks POS supports gift card and loyalty card programs, allowing businesses to take advantage of convenient electronic gift cards, or reward loyal customers with loyalty programs. Gift cards can be set up for redemption at one location or any location in a franchise. Loyalty cards can also be configured for use at one or many restaurants.

In addition, the Microworks PRISM POS includes a limited set of marketing functions through the marketing module. Using the marketing module, you can use order history data to target customers for promotional mailings or other marketing strategies.

Reporting

Microworks POS offers sales data in a centralized database for easy access. Sales and other reports are available for a range of variables, including product code, delivery driver, profit and loss statements, food usage by ingredient, payroll, and more. Additionally, PRISM offers tools to analyze and forecast sales trends.
