Taking Payments with the ePN Gateway

Many people are familiar with online shopping carts, a way to choose products to purchase from ecommerce sites. The ePN gateway offers ePNcart, a way to create customized “buy” buttons to add to your existing website. The cart allows you to accept all major credit cards and integrates with a real-time shipping cost calculator to provide accurate pricing estimates for shipping.

The other option is the ePN web order form generator (ePNWOFG) that can be used to create HTML forms. You can customize templates designed for online bill payments, accepting donations, renewing memberships, and setting up recurring billing.

With either method, you’ll need a merchant account with a compatible processor in order to take payments online.

Compatible Processors

The ePN gateway is compatible with several payment processors, including major ones such as First Data, Chase Paymentech, TSYS, Global Payments, and Elavon. As long as you use a company on one of those processing platforms, it’s likely that you can use ePN as your gateway.

The ePN Gateway Features

The ePN gateway offers plenty of features, POS software, paperless billing, inventory management, customer data management, recurring billing, QuickBooks integration, multiple store location management, level III data support, and API resources.

POS Software

If you don’t already have a POS solution in place, eProcessing Network offers software for Windows-based devices. The POS works with the gateway to process credit, debit, checks, Android Pay, Apple Pay, and NFC transactions.

Paperless Billing

Generating invoices manually is time consuming. The gateway’s paperless billing function lets you send bills via email, and customers can pay them online. You can customize the invoice so it contains your logo.

Inventory Management

Nothing disappoints a customer faster than discovering the item he or she wants isn’t in stock. The eProcessing Network’s integrated inventory management tool tracks stock levels in real time. It’s based in the cloud, so you don’t need to download any software.

Customer Data Management

Knowing your customers lets you serve them better. The ePN gateway offers a customer data management feature that stores information on payment methods, transaction history, and shipping preferences, and lets you charge customers for one-time and repeat purchases.

Recurring Billing

Many businesses today sell subscription services, and if you’re one of them, you need a recurring billing option for your customers. The ePN gateway lets you customize the billing interval and amount and create a recurring bill from an existing transaction.

QuickBooks Integration

For QuickBooks integration, the ePN gateway has two options. The first synchronizes your data with QuickBooks, while the second processes transactions within QuickBooks Pro, Premier, and Enterprise. This option also allows you to download transaction data from eProcessing Network’s servers.

Multiple Store Location Management

Do you have more than one location? eProcessing Networks’ master accounts function gives the head office the ability to view and process all transactions for any and all locations.

Level III Data

Accepting government and corporate cards comes with special requirements. With the ePN gateway, you’ll be able to accept those cards, potentially expanding your client base.

API Resources

The ePN gateway can be integrated directly into web pages, shopping carts, and existing third-party software. If you’re a developer, you can take advantage of ePN’s available sample code and specs for quick and convenient integration. If you already use Authorize.Net, ePN offers an Authorize.Net Emulator, allowing easier use of ePN services.

Accessories

To create your custom solution, eProcessing Network’s resellers offer card readers, cash drawers, receipt printers, and barcode scanners that are compatible with the payment gateway. You can choose the accessories (if any) that you need for your specific business functions.

Security

In addition to its PCI Level III certification, eProcessing Network offers several security tools to users to protect consumers from fraud. You can validate a customer’s address, certify that the customer has the credit card in hand during an online transaction, block specific integrations, disable the option for refunds, restrict transactions from specific IP addresses, specify the number of times someone using a given IP address can attempt a transaction, determine the transaction category, and convert transactions to sales.
